Educational Awareness Back to School Festival

On September 24th IAAK held its' first Back to School Festival at Gidden's Park in the Belmont/Jackson Heights section of Tampa. 1,000 goodie bags full of school supplies and 1,000 bags of dry food goods were distributed to those who attended. Over 20 community service providers participated in the event and many local city leaders attended and gave speeches to those present. There was a DJ, Live band brass band, Moonwalk, and lots of food from Ices to Slabs of Barbeque ribs. The success was in seeing all the children participate in the festivities and have fun throughout the day. We raffled off 2 student computers and lots of other prizes. Our focus was to provide an awareness to the education of our children.
