The Summer Literacy Camp The Summer Literacy Camp is a 10 week, full day program for children ages 5 - 12. Children will be able to sharpen their reading skill as they participate in fun filled activities that include the Technology Lab, Etiquette & Manners classes, Arts & Crafts, Dance and Drama, and a host of other activities. Each child will have an individual technology based reading program with reading assessments so that parents can track the progress of their child. Lunch is included. Some of the highlights will included:

The Buzz Into Books After School Program This is a fun filled experience for children where they can study, do their homework assignments with the assistance of tutors and coaches in a comfortable learning environment. They can participate in group and individual reading labs at our learning library, arts and craft projects and sharpen their skills at our interactive Buzz Learning Lab. The program runs from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM Monday’s thru Friday. We also have an extended hour session between 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM for those parents who need that extra time to commute to the University Mall. |
The Etiquette & Manners courses These courses teach the art of social behavior, self grooming and communications in a fun interactive style where children get to participate as they learn. The lessons cover:
At the end of the seven week course the children participate in formal dining event where we celebrate their achievements and reward each child with a certificate of completion. |
The Parent Training Clinics These clinics teach parents on how to set up learning libraries in their homes and how to appropriately read to their children and what materials they can use. Taught by experienced educators, parents get the extra coaching they need to help their child with their academic growth. |

The Anti- Gang and Bully Program Children are faced with peer pressure, bullies and invitations to gangs and delinquent activities often. This one time program teaches children how they can address these situations and guides them on how to act if they are confronted by a bully.
