Wanda DeLaRosa
Executive Director
Wanda DeLaRosa is the Co-founder and Executive Director of It’s All About Kids. Since its inception in 2000, she has applied over 20 years of child development, education and ministerial experience to growing and nurturing an organization committed to providing enrichment programs to children. As a mother who raised two children, Mrs. DeLaRosa experienced the pressures of family life. As a former pastor and educator she counseled many families who struggled to raise their children and provide them with the wholesome education that they needed to be well-rounded and successful.
It’s All About Kids was initiated because of Mrs. DeLaRosa’s lifelong commitment and desire to assist children and their parents as they struggle through the pressures that families experience in tough economic times. Mrs. DeLaRosa has dedicated her life to public service. Her diverse background in multiple phases of education includes business administration, ministry, missions, early childhood management, cultural awareness and special needs. Wanda has also taught English as a second language to elementary students and served as a Christian educator. She is a national teachers’ trainer and, through her mission and outreach work, is a compelling motivational speaker. Mrs. DeLaRosa is active in the community and has been instrumental in the development of several successful ministries and international children’s programs.
Larry DeLaRosa
Co-Founder
Larry DeLaRosa is Co-founder of It’s All About Kids. Side-by-side with Wanda DeLaRosa, Mr. DeLaRosa brings his business and technical background to the organization. He is instrumental in the development of the fundraising, programs, events and volunteerism needed to provide the most effective enrichment programs for the academic development of children.
As a youth, Mr. DeLaRosa was fortunate to benefit from an after-school program for underprivileged children called “Boy’s Harbor” that served the children of Harlem and the Bronx. He also benefited from an Assemblies of God church called John 3:16 in the Bronx, that became a major part of his youth and gave him the guidance he needed to live a successful life. These organizations became the family that kept him off of the rough streets of New York. In these organizations he received classes in the arts, spiritual guidance and college counseling that encouraged him to pursue further education. Mr. DeLaRosa remembers those impressionable days and is very thankful that there were organizations that reached out to him. That is why It’s All About Kids is an important pursuit for him. It is an opportunity for him to give back and help children that are in need of the support that he needed when he was in their shoes.
Mr. DeLaRosa holds a B.A. degree from the University of South Florida in Religious Studies, as well as an A.A. in Business Administration from Hillsborough Community College. He also holds several computer certifications, including the MCSA from Microsoft, and provides IT consulting to the organization. He brings business experience to It’s All About Kids from companies like FedEx, Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, Dell and Bright House Networks, and Medco Health Solutions.
