How to Help: VOLUNTEER

It’s All About Kids will be opening a new learning center at the University Mall in Tampa on February 2010. We need your support preparing the suite acquired so that it can facilitate a full five day a week after school program. We need painters, cleaners, electricians, carpenters and lots of administrative assistance. We are also accepting applications for several positions for this site. For more information call Wanda at (813) 269-4402.

Volunteer Profile: Sherion

Sherion is an Etiquette and Manners instructor at It’s All About Kids. She believes that proper manners and good hygiene are lacking in today’s culture. Having the opportunity to teach these skills to young children and lay a strong foundation for their future is something she enjoys.

In the past, Sherion suffered from low self-esteem and hardships, and she applies her own experiences to her lessons in the Etiquette and Manners program. She hopes that her own trials will inspire children to help others as she is doing now.

Sherion enjoys seeing children’s eyes light up as they grasp a new concept. There is no doubt that both the children and the community benefit from her involvement in It’s All About Kids.

Sherion is a graduate of Troy University and earned her graduate degree in Business Management at the Tampa campus of Springfield College.
